The short version
What you write in Ebenezer Moments is private by default. Only you can see it unless you choose to share an entry or prayer with a circle you belong to. We never sell your data, show you ads, or use your entries to train AI.
What we collect
Account: your email address and the name and optional photo, bio and life verse you add to your profile.
Your content: records (praises and laments), how you felt, stories, photos you attach, prayer requests and check-in responses, daily thanks, bookmarks, circle memberships, reactions and comments.
Settings: your time zone, reminder times and Bible translation.
Device: a push notification token so we can tell you when someone prays for you. Reminders (daily thanks, Saturday blessings, monthly encouragement and prayer check-ins) are scheduled on your phone.
Who can see it
Private entries: only you.
Shared entries: members of the circles you chose, for as long as you are both members. If you leave a circle, your shares there are removed.
Circle members can see your name and profile photo, bio and life verse.
Our service providers: Supabase stores the data (encrypted in transit and at rest), Resend sends sign-in emails, and Expo, Apple and Google deliver push notifications. They process data only to provide the service.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored securely in the United Kingdom (London), and sign-in emails are sent from Ireland. Both countries have strong data-protection laws. If you live elsewhere, including South Africa, your information is transferred there only to run the app and is protected to the standard your local law requires, such as the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the GDPR.
Your choices and rights
Export: Settings → Export my data gives you everything you have recorded.
Correct: you can edit or delete any entry, prayer or profile detail at any time.
Delete: Settings → Delete my account permanently erases your account, entries, prayers, thanks, photos, comments and reactions. Circles you lead pass to another member.
Notifications can be turned off at any time in your phone settings.
You may ask us what information we hold about you, or object to how it is used, by contacting [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your local data-protection authority; in South Africa this is the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
Children
Ebenezer Moments is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
